Eurus is about embracing change, those subtle transformations brought on by gentle breeze, those life altering moments held in hurricane. It’s about going with the flow and taking you where the wind carries. Transcending the ordinary and reaching for the extraordinary, no matter how hopeless it may seem. Eurus embraces the childlike innocence of a wish on a dandelion. Giving the wishes up to the wind and allowing them to be carried to their destination. Our mission is to create a safe space for disabled content creators around the world. We seek to transform the content creation space into a more accessible and accepting environment for all creators.
TRANSFORMATION: Eurus works to change the way disabled and chronically ill creators are viewed and appreciated in the content creation space. We seek to be included and recognized in all spaces occupied by non-disabled creators.COMMUNITY: Eurus creates and contributes to a community based around engagement and active participation. We encourage open communication with each other and our personal content creation communities. Our members develop a sense of teamwork and responsibility to each other.REPRESENTATION AND EQUITY: Eurus members use their platforms to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. We prioritize the needs of the marginalized members of our community.GROWTH: Eurus members share their talents, skills, and passions with other team members in order to promote an environment of learning and partnership. Each Eurus member commits themself to personal growth in our values.TRANSPARENCY: The Eurus team and all of its members maintain a sense of accountability and transparency. We remain open to any criticism and feedback regarding inevitable missteps as an opportunity to grow and take appropriate action. Eurus leadership will be transparent regarding all decisions relating to our community.ENTERTAINMENT: Eurus members seek to provide not only education, but superior entertainment to those in our community. We dedicate ourselves to quality content and hard work, to the best of our individual and team abilities.
WHAT IS THE MISSION OF EURUS?
You can find our mission statement on our home page or our values page.WHAT ARE THE VALUES OF EURUS?
You can find our values on our values page.WHAT DOES INVOLVEMENT IN EURUS ENTAIL?
Members of Eurus are expected to participate in weekly and monthly "challenges" that we call Winds and Wishes. We also expect participation in Eurus charity and mutual aid events, workshops and educational events, and other team bonding activities as often as members are able. Current members are also involved in the process of choosing new members. Above all, we aspire to create an active and passionate community of people who share the same values. We uplift each other and share our successes, failures, struggles, and resources. Ultimately, Eurus is a space for disabled creators to find community and friendship.WHERE CAN I APPLY?
You can either click the link on our home page or here.WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER "DISABLED"?
We base our criteria for disability off the US federal definition. The definition per the ADA is as follows: " a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity."DO I NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO APPLY?
No! Eurus was created before even our founder, Spoons, was diagnosed with their disabilities. The ADA definition of disability does not require a diagnosis, so we don't either.DO I NEED TO BE A CONTENT CREATOR TO APPLY?
Yes. Eurus is about expanding the reach of disabled content creators and transforming the content creation space as a whole. You don't have to be just a Twitch streamer though - we have TikTokers, YouTubers, and more in Eurus.DO I NEED TO HAVE A CERTAIN NUMBER OF FOLLOWERS?
No! Eurus is seeking people who are dedicated and passionate about content creation and disability education, no matter your size. Your analytics (followers, subscribers, affiliate status, etc.) have no bearing on your likelihood of being accepted.DO I NEED TO BE ACTIVELY CREATING CONTENT?
This is definitely not a yes or no answer. We're very aware that the content creation landscape is pretty much a nightmare right now, and breaking into it is even more difficult. What matters to us is that even if you are not actively creating content, you have a plan to start in the near future, and you are incredibly passionate about it.DOES THE TYPE OF CONTENT I MAKE MATTER?
No! We just want passionate creators, no matter what they are creating. You can be family friendly or not, a gamer or a just chatter, cam streamer or faceless. We seek to create a diverse space even within Eurus!HOW WILL I KNOW MY APPLICATION STATUS?
You will receive an email from our team. Even if you are not accepted, we will let you know. If we accept your application, you'll receive an email where we'll discuss the next steps with you.WILL I GET FEEDBACK ON MY APPLICATION?
Unfortunately due to the volume of applications Eurus receives, we are not able to send feedback to anyone. Remember that whatever response you get, it does not reflect on your value as a content creator. We have to say no to many amazing creators simply because we don't have the space. We are very proud of you for putting yourself out there and encourage you to reapply in the future and apply to other content creation teams!
